Here is a poem I had to write for class. The teacher said she really didn't understand it. I guess I probably don't either. It's about the fight my mom and I had when I "got drunk" (not really) at church and then snuck out with Tarrah.
Thesaurus for an Argument
Bunged heavens, daybreak,
a maid, present the kitchen,
neatly stacking the forks'
immaculate morning metal,
Maple bacon, mini-Perrier, signs,
Atlas Shrugged and light shafts.
Bare liberty, pink wraith, lithe -
the girl privilaged, the palms
defeat mutually the sill,
carcass of flute, twilight,
lemons duped, nip-flagon, mark
flyer, claptrap, and gut.
Open air, Virago in the kitchen
beating together the plates,
ruins of glass, lemon lollipops,
beer bottle labels,
commercial drivel,
a Misty, ringing red on tray lips.
